Italy’s Prime Minister, Georgia Meloni, visited Pope Francis in the hospital following his diagnosis with pneumonia in both lungs. The 88-year-old pontiff was admitted to Rome’s Gemelli Hospital on Friday due to a respiratory infection.

However, due to his health, he has canceled a papal audience scheduled for Saturday and will not be well enough to attend Mass on Sunday.

utside the hospital, well-wishers and pilgrims have gathered to pray, light candles, and leave messages of encouragement for the Pope.

Meloni’s visit and her remarks about the Pope’s humor and resilience have offered reassurance to many who are concerned about his health.

The Pope’s hospitalization has drawn global attention, with many hoping for his swift recovery.

Despite his illness, his spirit and determination remain unwavering, as evidenced by his ability to maintain his characteristic sense of humor even in challenging times.
