Atos Sees Business Recovery After Losses

French IT company Atos is showing signs of recovery after facing significant losses in 2024. CEO Philippe Salle, who took over in February, stated on Wednesday that the company’s business improved in the fourth quarter due to increasing customer confidence and improved creditworthiness. New long-term contracts further reflect this positive shift.

With financial restructuring successfully completed in December, Atos is now focusing on its transformation process. Salle announced that the company will present its forecast for 2025 and medium-term targets at an investor day scheduled for May 14.

Atos, a key IT service provider for the UK’s National Health Service (NHS), suffered losses last year due to market weakness and contract terminations. Its revenue declined by 5.4% to €9.57 billion, falling short of its €9.7 billion forecast.

Salle is the sixth CEO to lead Atos in two years. The company, which includes the former IT division of Siemens, has faced difficulties due to management disputes and strategic missteps. To address its financial challenges, Atos secured a financing package in June and plans to reduce its remaining debts by selling parts of the company.
