Hollywood icon Sylvester Stallone is set to publish his highly anticipated memoir, The Steps: The Story of My Life, offering a deeply personal account of his journey from a troubled childhood to becoming one of the most renowned action stars in film history. The autobiography will be released worldwide, including in German, on October 23, as announced by the publishing group Penguin Random House.

Stallone, 78, is best known for his roles in the iconic Rocky and Rambo franchises. His breakthrough came in 1976 when he wrote and starred in Rocky, the story of underdog boxer Rocky Balboa. The film, directed by John G. Avildsen, became a massive success, earning ten Academy Award nominations and winning three Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Editing, and Best Director.

Beyond his cinematic achievements, Stallone’s memoir delves into his personal battles, highlighting his resilience and determination. The book chronicles his challenging upbringing, marked by bullying and abuse, and the struggles he faced before finding his purpose in the film industry. According to the publisher, Stallone’s story is both inspiring and compelling, showcasing his relentless fighting spirit.

Reflecting on the significance of his memoir, Stallone stated, “This book is my legacy. It is the essence of what I have to say.”
