The Golden State Warriors and their fans can breathe a sigh of relief following Stephen Curry’s injury scare during Thursday night’s game against the Toronto Raptors. The team announced on Friday that an MRI revealed no structural damage. However, Curry sustained a pelvic contusion and will miss the start of the Warriors’ upcoming six-game road trip.

The incident occurred late in the third quarter when Curry collided with two Raptors players while making a pass. The 37-year-old fell to the floor in visible discomfort but was able to leave the court without assistance.

“He thought he might be able to return to the game,” head coach Steve Kerr stated. “We decided not to take any chances. Hopefully, it’s nothing serious.”

Teammate Draymond Green described the moment as “scary,” emphasizing Curry’s importance to the team. Before exiting the game, Curry had logged 25 minutes on the court, contributing 17 points.

The Warriors currently hold the sixth spot in the Western Conference standings, positioning them for a direct playoff berth. The team will monitor Curry’s recovery closely as they navigate a crucial stretch of the season.
